Longline 50’s shaper by Rago. Rago does legit vintage-style shapewear. I love the baby-blue, the pointy bra shape (without being too exaggerated) and the same goes for the overall shape and degree of cinching in the waist. There’s no hooks, buckles or wires and this is a really good hold for a true vintage shape, but far more comfortable than this sort of stuff usually is. Great for going under dresses and even though there’s no bottom with it, it’s kinda tight enough to freeball. Naughty edge to your nice retro dress… 7/10
This fashion blogger recently discovered that Gaultier did not invent the bullet bra and Madonna did not popularize it. I wonder if she read this blog?

This nineteenth century photograph of an unidentified soldier belongs to the costume and textile library at the museum I work in. No one knows who he is, what his uniform represents, or where the photo came from. But I love him. And he has a sword.
This Vintage style strapless circle-stitched overwire midline bra has over 22,000 (yes, thousand) notes. Not bad for a 60 year old design.

The bullet bra I bought—behold my pointy bosom.

There’s that strapless white swimsuit again!

Unidentified man wearing an “unusual hat,” c. 1855. Historians (and armchair historians), any thoughts about the origins of this awesome patent-leather cap? (George Eastman House)
